Inspired by her brothers who were involved in the oil field, Marjorie Chambers made the decision to pursue a career in the field in 1993. For the past 16 years, she has been running her own company, Jorie’s Holdings Inc., a oil field information services provider that offers information services for oil fields such as communications with trucking companies to ascertain what rigs they are moving. She then faxes or emails reports of what drilling rigs are moving on that certain day to people that supply extra service to those rigs. Ms. Chambers is very proud of her ability to run a well-respected company and deal with competitors successfully. Her background exposed her to all facets of the industry and she became well versed in generating rig reports and handling bookkeeping. Ms. Chambers holds an account technician certificate and oil/gas technology certificate, and attributes her longevity in the industry to her determination to make a decent living for herself.
