Linda LaFollette Cross embarked on her career in the hospitality field by opening a restaurant with her partner at the age of 21. After a few years, they sold the business and in 2002, they purchased a historic hotel in Quebec and moved their family there. Hotel Manoir d’Auteuil started with only 14 rooms and has now expanded to 27 rooms, each of which has its own charm and story. Ms. LaFollette Cross has received numerous TripAdvisor awards for her beautiful establishment, including being ranked as the 15th most romantic hotel in Canada. She believes she has been able to excel in her endeavors because she comes from a family of entrepreneurs. Her family inspired her to follow her own dreams, and she has achieved great success in turning around businesses in the restaurant and hospitality industries.
As the owner of the renowned hotel, Ms. LaFollette Cross is responsible for overseeing renovations, acquiring permits, arranging décor, and administrating all operations of the hotel. She looks to ensure her guests have a memorable stay and not only take in the beauty of the hotel, but also the history and enchanting atmosphere of Quebec. Looking forward, Ms. LaFollette Cross hopes to start traveling more. She would like to reduce her commitment to her business in terms of time so that she can enjoy life while she is healthy.
