Ron Hyggen has always been a hard worker, and his ambition and diligence has been something that has paid off for him over the course of an illustrious career in the public service sector. For more than 16 years, Mr. Hyggen has been nurturing a growing skill set, which encompasses an abundance of leadership skills that have thrust him into the forefront of the industry. In his position as CEO of Athabasca Basin Security, he handles all strategic and operational planning initiatives. He also oversees external relations and partnerships, project and program development initiatives.
Mr. Hyggen is currently pursuing a UBC Executive Development Certificate at The University of British Columbia, and he holds a Human Resources Management Certificate from Queen’s University, as well as an Organizational Development Certificate from Queen’s University. He received a Bachelor of Education in English from the University of Saskatchewan, as well. He is the president of the Student Executive Golden Key Society, and a member of ASIS and PMP.
