Inspired by a teacher, who volunteered his time helping people in Africa, Sylvie Boulianne has dedicated her time and talents to establishing contracts across Africa and alleviating poverty. Her company, Hydrowatt International Inc., is an energy firm consultancy that offers clients electric power generation and distribution services. Through her company, Ms. Boulianne manages contracts overseas in Western and Northern Africa to reduce poverty and to give them access to energy. She organizes technology transfer and empowers them, transfers the skills they need and helps them find expertise they need.
An expert in contract management, Ms. Boulianne is also responsible for overseeing human resource functions, as well as technology transfer projects, marketing, consulting with clients, and handling real estate management and real estate investments.
Ms. Boulianne is a highly regarded industry professional who was involved in the preparation of the 21th World Energy Congress Montreal 2010, for the mobilization of the participation of the 50 poorest countries of the world. She attributes her success to her attitude toward people, and being open minded, determined, and persistent. She also has a strong network around the world, which assists her in expanding and gaining recognition for her company. Her goal for the future is to build partnerships to develop projects in energy sectors that will benefit less-advantaged countries.
Ms. Boulianne earned a master’s degree in administration and a bachelor’s degree in business management at the University of Quebec.
