Ryan Scorgie, a lawyer and partner with Forward Law LLP, founded the firm a few years ago with two colleagues. Now, the firm has grown to include 23 employees, and, looking ahead, Mr. Scorgie intends to open an additional office. With Forward Law LLP, Mr. Scorgie handles business and proposal development, and real estate transactions and planning.
Originally, Mr. Scorgie worked in adventure tourism and tourism management. After a colleague suggested that his background would be conductive to law, he earned a JD from The University of British Columbia. Mr. Scorgie is affiliated with the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce, Kamloops Daybreak Rotary Club, and the Canadian Bar Association, and he teaches courses on business development and law at Thompson Rivers University. In addition to law and education, Mr. Scorgie is also slowly building his presence in the agricultural industry. He bought a cattle ranch last year.
