With more than 45 years of experience, Bruce Raath is lending his skills accumulated over the years to consult, train and educate engineers and concrete practitioners on all things related to concrete construction. He sees his firm as a conduit for him to pass on a lifetime of experience, and help young engineers solve problems they may encounter on a site. His expertise is called upon to provide diagnoses of failed mechanisms and recommendations for repair, as well as testing concrete and assessing results. Mr. Raath advises builders on how to conform specifications so that structures built with concrete are built appropriately.
Mr. Raath started B A Raath and Associates in 2009 to assist engineers in applied concrete technology. This system focuses on applying concrete principles to the design of structures. In addition to operating his engineering consulting firm, Mr. Raath is a member of the Toastmasters organization. He also has a certificate in arbitration from the AFSA, which has helped save his firm and firms he has worked with large amounts of money to avoid litigation. As an expert witness, he is an Associate Member of the Institute of Arbitrators and prefers cases handling structural materials and concrete.
