Distinguished for more than four decades in the exploration and mining services industry, Raymond Irwin has traveled all over the world and has been involved in four major mine discoveries. Proficient in investigating and surveying land for mineral deposits, his responsibilities as a geologic consultant for Nevada Silver, Inc. involve reviewing property submittals, evaluating potential advanced stage gold, silver and base metals. In addition, he directs projects and crews, maintains budgets, and plans and supervises exploration programs. His work has taken him all over the world, including, Brazil, Bolivia, Ghana, Canada and Mexico. His exploration specialties and mineralization expertise are in tertiary-Jurassic sandstone-hosted uranium, porphyry and supergene copper, pyrometasoatic Cu and Au, epithermal and mesothermal structurally controlled (vein) Cu, Au and Ag, “Burgin mine type” complex structurally controlled mesothermal Pb, Zn, Ag and Au, “Carlin type” sediment hosted Au and Ag, Archean and Proterozoic greenstone belt hosted gold and mafic intrusive hosted Cu-Ni-Co-PGE.

Enacting on a lifelong dream to work in the mining industry, Mr. Irwin earned a Bachelor of Science in geology, with an emphasis in chemistry from New Mexico State University. He became a registered geologist through the American Institute of Professional Geologists. He has been recognized for his work by being inducted by to the Geology Hall of Fame from the New Mexico State University. Looking toward the future, Mr. Irwin intends to discover more mines.
