Neurology has long interested and influenced Patrick Matoole’s life. In the course of his career as a neurologist and physician, Dr. Matoole has provided services pediatric and adult neurological health care. His expertise focuses on Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, headaches, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, movement disorders, brain and spinal cord injuries and sleeping disorders. In his role at Josephson-Wallack-Munshower Neurology practice, Dr. Matoole oversees hospital coverage for all neurology patients of the group. He treats patients with neurological disorders and coordinates with the patient care committee.
Dr. Matoole has been involved in the field of neurology for more than 15 years. He began his passage into the medical field by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from the University of Denver. He continued at the University of Nebraska to earn an MD. Moving forward, he completed an internship in internal medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals and a residency in neurology at Creighton University. Furthermore, Dr. Matoole completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology from Indiana University. Throughout his career, Dr. Matoole has been involved in a number of important studies as a subinvestigator and primary investigator.
After receiving certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Matoole began working at his current practice. In addition to his work at the practice, he maintains affiliation with numerous organizations. He is involved with Community Hospitals, St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis, Johnson County Memorial Hospital, St. Francis Hospital Indianapolis, Indianapolis Medical Society, Indiana State Medical Association, AANEM, American Academy of Neurology, American Medical Association, American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
