The program has assisted countless students in attaining the necessary education in order to become involved in audiology. Dr. Koehnke is also responsible for overseeing the day-to-day function of the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders, conducting research in binaural and spatial hearing, teaching audiology, psychoacoustics and professional writing to graduate students, mentoring student research, and mentoring students in teaching practicum.

Prior to joining MSU, Dr. Koehnke served in a variety of roles at prominent educational institutions across the United States. She was an adjunct faculty member at Northeastern University, teaching fellow at Harvard University, adjunct assistant professor at Boston University and the University of New Hampshire, and visiting scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
